name: error-explainer
description: Explains error messages and stack traces in plain English. Use when the user pastes an error, says something is broken, or asks what a message means.
---

When the user shares an error:

1. **What it means**: one sentence in everyday language.
2. **Likely cause**: look in the project's files to confirm, don't just guess.
3. **Try this first**: the smallest fix, with the exact command or edit.
4. **If that doesn't work**: one backup idea.

If you need more information (the command they ran, a log file), ask for it before suggesting fixes. Explain any technical term you use.
